A couple weeks ago Motley Fool published a bunch of interesting facts for perspective. Here are ones about Energy:
- Growth in America's energy output since 2008 has surpassed that of any other country in the world, according to energy analyst Daniel Yergin.
- According to Enerdata, the U.S. consumed less total energy in 2011 than it did in 2000.
- The International Energy Agency predicts that the U.S. will become the world's largest oil-producer by 2020, overtaking Saudi Arabia.
- The Energy Information Administration predicts that U.S. oil imports will fall to 6 million barrels a day next year — their lowest level in 25 years.
