While doing taxes has become easier with online programs, the technical terms for exceptions and deductions and what not are still mind-numbing to those of us who don't manage budgets or do accounting for a living. If this statistic isn't based on people who were just confused, I'm all for giving the IRS more power to collect money to pay our bills:
